ISHTAR MOROSI - JAMAICAN DANCEHALL, CONTEMPORARY
Inspired by movies such as "Fame" and "Flashdance", Ishtar started dancing at the tender age of 4 years old in her hometown, Canberra.
Majoring in Contemporary Dance, Ishtar has always been a very versatile dancer and has performed in many different styles from Musical Theatre in the Act One, Scene One production of Bob Fosse's "Chicago" in 2004 to Scottish dancing in the "Fall Down" film clip for Perth band Jebediah.
Training:
- Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap and Funk/Hip Hop
- Traditional Filipino dance led to Ishtar being involved in numerous productions and performances in local and national dance festivals and eisteddfods
- Ishtar furthered her dance training by studying at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) where she was accepted into the Bachelor of Arts (Dance) program in 2001

Ishtar has also been in numerous performances with top Australian Contemporary choreographers Justin Rutzou, Olivia Millard and Becky Hilton as well as various corporate events through Dance Central Sydney and has choreographed routines for competitors on the ABC TV's "Strictly Dancing".
Ishtar's most recent addition to her repertoire of dance styles is Jamaican Dancehall which she learned from Sydney's top Afro-Contemporary/ Dancehall choreographer and performer, Maya Martinez.
