As former member of the award-winning traditional performing arts troupe 'Bakalama' Fode has toured internationally, performing and teaching in France, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Holland, Libya, Spain and Morocco. He now lives in Newcastle and would be delighted to share his exceptional talents and cultural traditions with you!

WEST AFRICAN DANCE combines elements of music, rhythm and song that invigorate and energize mind, body and spirit. Learn traditional West African movement and dance sequences from Guinea and Senegal 'explore the language of the drum and the connection between drummer and dancer.'

This is an exhilarating, fun, expressive and athletic workout to the exciting and infectious rhythms of live African drumming! An ideal way to get fit, have fun and learn something new.
